The key to spiritual and emotional health is to grasp the truth of God's transforming love for us and then let that reality influence our own hearts and relationships. It seems simple, but we are experts at complicating simple things. Instead of living lives characterized by love we find ourselves trapped in cycles of shame, violence, and addiction that steal our joy and keep us from loving others--so much so that, by all indications, Christians are living no differently than anyone else when it comes to abuse rates, use of pornography, alcohol and drug addiction, and more. Christian psychiatrist Dr. Timothy Jennings wants to release us from this prison. With powerful illustrations from case studies and from Scripture, Jennings shows believers who are stuck in addiction, violence, fear, and broken relationships how to experience true freedom through God's transforming love to experience greater health, fulfillment, and well-being.

Among Seventh-day Adventists the doctrine of the Trinity is often taken for granted. But increasingly it is opposed by a small minority who have retreated to the anti-Trinitarian position of the pioneers. In response the authors, each a specialist in his field, trace the doctrine of the Trinity through Scripture, church history, and the writings of Ellen G. White.; ; The first section surveys the biblical foundations of the doctrine and addresses objections that have been raised. Other sections trace the development of the doctrine in Christian history, in Adventist history, and in the writings of Ellen White. The authors explain why the doctrine was resisted by many of the leading pioneers.; ; The final section asks "So what?" It discusses the theological and practical implications of Trinitarian belief, worship, and practice, showing how it affects what we believe about salvation, atonement, the great controversy, and other significant doctrines. With glossaries, bibliography, and index, this comprehensive primer on the Trinity will shed new light on the central beliefs of Christianity, and show how God still leads His church into all truth. - Introduction; SECTION ONE--The Biblical Evidence for the Full Deity of Christ, the Personality of the Spirit, and the Unity and Oneness of the Godhead; Chapter 1: The Strongest Bible Evidence for the Trinity; Chapter 2: The Full and Eternal Deity of Christ: Part I--The New Testament Epistles, the Old; Testament, and the Gospels; Chapter 3: The Full and Eternal Deity of Christ: Part II--The Gospel of John; Chapter 4: The Personality and Deity of the Spirit and the Triune Oneness of the Godhead; Chapter 5: Trinitarian Evidences in the Book of Revelation; Chapter 6: Biblical Objections to the Trinity; Chapter 7: Logical Objections to the Trinity; SECTION TWO--The History of the Trinity Doctrine From A.D. 100 to A.D. 1500; SECTION THREE--Trinity and Anti-Trinitarianism From the Reformation to the Advent; Movement; SECTION FOUR--The Doctrine of the Trinity and Its Implications for Christian Thought and Practice; Index

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).This is one of the greatest words ever spoken on this planet to the specie called Man, since creation. This utterance was made by God's Son, Jesus Christ to all men, millennia ago. This profound statement, and the consummation, and fulfilment of it has led to the Salvation of billions of fallen men, afterward.God created Man in His image and likeness, with a divine purpose in mind, but the devil called Satan deceived Man to disobey God, and this led to the fall of man from the grace and Presence of God. Man lost God's glory and fell, and since then God has been looking for a way to save mankind. He wants to save men because the scriptures reveal that He loves men. This love motivated Him (God) to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to come from heaven to earth, taking the form of men and availing himself even unto his death on the Cross of Calvary, to redeem mankind. This singular act of God was done through His love for mankind, and since then many have been trying to look into what is in that love. Well, thank God He has made available much knowledge or information about this love to us in the Bible, to find out and walk therein. Yet, it is noteworthy to know that many out of ignorance have misconstrued this love for what it is not; and maligned out of ignorance also what it really stands for or entails. Many a literature has been written on this subject of God's love to correct the misconceptions, and so this book is also targeted at unveiling some of the realities or truths about this love of God. This book is zoomed in specifically to reveal what Jesus' death and resurrection, which was precipitated by God's love covers. It's meant to remove the veil off the love of God that brought Redemption and Salvation to mankind. This Love is captured in the message of the Cross, so let's open it up and see what's in it, and what is not in it.God intends for men to have his fulness in themselves, and this can only be attained by revelational knowledge, and true acknowledgement of what God's love really is: - Ephesians 3:19 "And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God."

Because scripture tells us clearly that God is Love (1 John 4:8), we know that God, by very nature, is relational. Love is an action, emotion, state, and characteristic that requires interaction with another being. Love does not exist alone. Scripture also tells us that we have been created in God's image (Genesis 1:27). We were created to love Him in return, though loving Him will never be forced upon us because love isn't selfish. It is this line of thinking that leads me to the belief that the meaning of life is to learn how to love, and then teach others. Considering that our Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) is to go throughout the world and teach others about our Heavenly Father's commands (such as love God and love others; Matthew 22:37-39), we must learn first what Love is- who He is. Every relationship we form gives us the opportunity to learn a bit more about His character in order to have a better understanding of who He really is. Marriage, family, friends, neighbors, and even enemies can teach us much about who God is and who God isn't. This book examines multiple relationships we experience and what valuable information we can gather from those relationships about the character of Love, which is to say, the character of God. It's about learning to be unselfish in a selfish world.

Because God created man in His own image, we automatically think God looks like us with a human body. Yet God is a spirit and a spirit has no human body. The word for image in the Hebrew is tselem, which simply means a resemblance, and this resemblance does not have to be a physical one but could be emotional and mental. By studying these resemblances through God's Word to us, we begin to understand God's heart. Built on the premise that God created the marriage relationship as a model of our relationship with Him, God's Love for Us explores the possibility that being created in the image of God means we were given a heart like God. Through the Biblical understanding of a marriage relationship between a man and woman, we begin to understand how the love, intimacy, caring, nurturing, security and dependency that we find in our natural marriage relationship is meant to help us relate to our salvation and consequential bonding with the God of the universe.
